Armed robber strikes at Saks Fifth Avenue in Boca Town Center

The robber either had expensive taste or knew where to sell a load of purses he swiped Wednesday night from a luxury department store at Town Center at Boca Raton.

The thief, a thin tall man wearing a striped gray hoodie, flashed a gun at a Saks Fifth Avenue employee who tried to intervene while the robbery was in progress, Boca Raton police said.

The employee backed off, the thief crammed more purses into a bag and fled out of the store.

The suspect made his getaway in what looked to be a newer dark-colored Ford Mustang, police said.

Investigators urge anyone with information about the robber to contact Detective Lazarus Kimsal at 561-866-6383.

We’re talking 8 Chanel bags! Where do you put them? There’s only so much room in somebody’s ass, 8 handbags, I would say, is pushing the limit. I guess the way she was walking set off the alarm and set off the security guard. I would have loved to have been there and seen that! I’m not sure of the status of the case but the thief was able to leave the scene with the goods he stole. Good for him! And maybe not so good for him when he gets caught. Just remember what kind of person we’re dealing with who would do such a blatant act in public at a mall in the middle of the day. Im scared just stealing a lollipop. There’s camera’s everywhere these days. Just my luck, if I tried to steal 8 handbags, I’d get 8 years hard time. Most likely this person will get caught. In my opinion the security at the Boca mall is not the best.

Most security guards these days are highly uneducated people working for near minimum wage. These malls need to employ the right kind of security so this crazy stuff doesn’t happen again. But believe me, it will. Sorry to say.
