#5 Automobiles Jaguar

Jaguar

Here’s an example of a great day at the Manheim Car Auction (Dealers only). I bought this Jaguar for about $1,000. Everything worked and it ran fine. I sold it in less than a week for $2,100. Basically, I doubled my money in 7 days! Of course, there’s skill, experience, and capital involved. All working together to produce a profitable result in the end. Can you get rich selling cars from your house? Probably not. But you can and many many people do make an extra $10-$50,000 per year selling cars as a secondary means of income such as the way I do it. When I buy a car and sell a car, there’s a real sense of euphoria, kind of like a short term high. It starts when I buy the car and ends after I sell it. Only to repeat the cycle over and over again, similar to a drug addict chasing a high! Here’s why: my euphoria is in full swing from the time I get to the car auction. Then, it kicks into overdrive once I make a great buy. (Such as this Jaguar, where I doubled my money in 7 days.) Then, after the car is sold, the money has been put in the bank, the euphoria dies down because the game has ended. Therefore, like a drug addict, I need to find a new fix (another car to buy and sell), where the whole crazy cycle repeats itself all over again. Note: I am a real estate builder, developer, and investor. Cars are only a secondary means of income. The good part about buying and selling cars as a sideline, is:

  1. I actually drive for free all year! (The average person spends $5 to $8,000 on car payments, insurance, maintenance and repairs, etc.)
  2. In addition to driving for free, I probably earn $20-$30,000 per year tinkering with cars and in truthfulness, it is fun. (When things go the way they should).

In closing, this Jaguar is an example of things going the way they should. Fun!
